Covet Ladies

Posted by Carmen Foster on

Because we all have a story to tell, we wanted to highlight some of our Covet models by sharing little snippets of their lives. We have found that in this process of starting our business, it's not the physical inventory that brings us joy, but rather the connections we have made and the ability to learn and grow ourselves by listening to others.

Meet April.

We first met April when she was strutting her stuff to Cardi B's, "I like it" at the Boutiques of GR fashion show and she got us grooving in our seats!

She CANNOT live without a good lip balm and chicken nuggets, (we hear ya girl).

When she isn't running around the news station at our local WZZM 13 as a Multi-Platform Producer, she loves diving into a good book, (check out her blog for some great book reviews) or decompressing with a delicious home cooked meal and maybe a face mask or two.

April's advice to her younger self would be... "Don't let anyone make you feel less than. You are beautiful and bright, and the world will see that soon enough."

We asked April her thoughts on how she feels the fashion industry has evolved in the current years.

"There has been so much growth in the fashion/beauty industry, I’m amazed to see more diversity in ages, sizes and skin color — it’s honestly so awesome. But, there is still so much further to go."

April definitely has one of those infectious personalities and exudes confidence which was easily captured on film.

Her tag line is, "Live your best life."

We certainly can feel the energy in these words when in her presence.

Fun Fact: April's favorite job was when she worked at a haunted house in High School!
